SIMTRACK offer two types of installation kits: Permanent Rail as a kit for hire and Movable Rail as a kit for purchase. The cost to hire or purchase each kit is relatively inexpensive and saves a considerable amount of time and effort in putting up the railing.
The SIMTRACK lift out panels come in two options. The first, called a 'Lift Out Panel Latch' is a simple and inexpensive Stainless Steel latch that aids the breaking apart of the panel joint. The Stainless Steel latch locks into one end of the panel and by pulling it into its down position, it enables the joint to be easily broken apart and panel removed. The disadvantage to this type of panel is that once removed, the exposed rail is not protected, and so is only usable for points of entry for a barrier start, or short term for locations where animals are not expected to be around. The second type of removable panel is called a 'Fork Latch Panel'. This slightly more expensive product allows the removal of panels where horses require entry into inside training tracks, or in locations where the rail needs to be removed for extended lengths of time while horses may be in the vicinity. Removal of the panel is done by sliding back a stainless steel lever, and then gently pulling the other end out of its fixed fork attachment. Once removed the exposed rail is already covered by rubberised end caps, posing no danger to animals.
Our End Caps are used to cap off ends of rail which are exposed for any long periods of time. For example if there is a permanent opening of a rail to allow access into another inside track, end caps would be clipped into the open ends of the rail to protect entering horses from injury.
Also where lift out panels are removed, end caps are often used to ensure there is no danger to passing horses. The caps are made from the same durable material as the rail, but have a rubberised end moulded into it.
Holes have been cast into the cap to allow for the option of making swing gates, or alternative lift out panel fixings.
SIMTRACK has been producing specific rail requirements for a variety of tracks for many years. Often tracks will have a new or unusual design, which calls for rail or associated rail products that are not normally produced. SIMTRACKS chief engineer, Tony Sims, has been involved in manufacturing an astounding variety of adaptations for rails in his 45 years of experience and is always able to offer a cheap and effective solution to any difficult rail problem. So for simple products for custom needs, SIMTRACK is always able to come up with your best solution!
